About Me:
I have been a Lawrence Welk fan for as log as I can remember. I just turned 57 (March 1, 09) so I have been a fan for at least a half century. I have met 26 of the Welk stars including my favorite Mary Lou Metzger. I have had my picture taken with 25 of them of which 24 have come out.
Favorite Lawrence Welk Show Story
I had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Myron Floren in Branson. I asked him if his accordion seem to have put on weight over the years. His answer was "It sure has! Here in Denver, I was called up to the stage by
name by Ava Barber. I haven't gotten over that one yet.
Favorite Lawrence Welk Star
Mary Lou Metzger who I first met in Branson.
